Deep foundations, lofty ambitions: Cordeel acts as both developer and contractor for the C-Sight project

The C-Sight residential project is being built by the wide sandy beach at Cadzand. During the past few weeks, we have been drilling the foundation piles (201 in total), and more than half have already been successfully drilled to a depth of 24 metres.

To limit vibration nuisance, we have used combi screw piles, which are suitable for underground car parks and foundations in built-up environments. The drilling work will continue until Christmas, after which we will excavate the construction pit and instal the bracing frame.

We are developing C-Sight under our own management in a joint venture with Hplus Vastgoed. Cordeel is also the building contractor for the underground car park. Comprising apartments, penthouses and holiday homes in a Norman-Romanesque cottage style, the project will also include commercial spaces and underground parking. The Norman architectural design reflects a characteristic building style with traditional brickwork and showcases a variety of façades. We recently completed Hotel De Schelde in a similar style, just a stone’s throw from C-Sight.
