Councillor Marian van Oostenbrugge breaks ground on C-sight project

On 9 October, Councillor Marian van Oostenbrugge of the Municipality of Sluis officially launched the C-Sight project in Cadzand by installing the first column. The seaside development is led by Rode Wielingen Nederland BV, a joint venture between Belgian developer Hplus Vastgoed and contractor-developer Cordeel Nederland BV.

C-Sight is a mixed-use development situated along the wide sandy beach of Cadzand and will offer sweeping views of the marina. On Wielingen Boulevard, three townhouses in a Norman-Romanesque style will house 26 apartments ranging from 80 to 200 m², including three spectacular penthouses.

Additionally, the project will feature seven self-contained holiday homes on De Blommaart. Six commercial spaces with a total surface area of 700 m²will complete the development.

Cordeel Nederland has successfully completed the underground car park with space for more than 80 vehicles, allowing work on the superstructure to proceed. With 70 per cent of the units already sold, only a few properties remain available. For more information, visit www.c-sight-cadzand.nl.

C-Sight is set for completion in the spring of 2026 and is poised to infuse vibrancy and energy into the picturesque beach town of Cadzand.

Final construction phase of huge Maersk cold store facility

The construction of the huge cold store facility for Danish shipping giant Maersk on Maasvlakte 2 is progressing steadily. This design-and-build project involved drafting the final design and developing it into a technical and implementation plan. Construction will soon enter its final phase.

Cordeel summer barbecue 2024

Last Thursday was a beautiful day for our annual summer barbeque at our familiar spot, Beachclub Perry's at Brouwersdam. As we came together, we reflected on the past six months, listening to a speech by our CEO, Erik De Bruyn. He remarked, “It is nice to see how we come together as one team — not only to celebrate our successes but also to relax and enjoy each other's company before the summer holidays begin."

At Cordeel, we make a distinction between different types of carbon emissions. There are our own emissions, such as diesel and petrol used on our construction sites and for our vehicle fleet, as well as our direct consumption of electricity and gas as a business. These are areas where we, as a company, can directly and relatively easily make changes and have an impact. However, we must also consider the emissions in our value chain, including the products we use and their effect on the climate.

On 13 May 2024, we celebrated the start of construction of a 30-metre-tall, sustainable high-ceiling warehouse for Quooker, the Dutch firm renowned for ‘the tap that does it all'. The company is experiencing strong growth, and the brand-new warehouse marks the start of the first phase of an ambitious project that will bring together all operating units on one site: factory halls, storage space, offices, service centre and showroom.
