Cordeel Group launches its 2022 sustainability report

A new, larger Excelsior Stadium is the centrepiece of a multifunctional development offering facilities for professional and recreational sports, leisure, health and housing. All of this will be set within a green, pedestrian- and cycle-friendly environment. This ambitious plan was recently adopted by the Executive Board of the City of Rotterdam.

A recent groundbreaking ceremony officially launched Valvoline’s logistics facility extension in Dordrecht. To mark the occasion, Jenke Peters (senior director supply chain EMEA, Valvoline Global Operations) and Daan Schilperoort (development manager, Cordeel Nederland) pressed the red button together, joined by colleagues from both organisations.

We have reached an important milestone with APM Terminals Maasvlakte II and AECOM. Together, we have signed a joint venture agreement for the expansion of one of Europe’s most advanced container terminals. The on-site ceremony marked the official launch of an integrated construction project focused on increasing capacity, improving operational efficiency and developing a fully emission-free terminal. The first phase is scheduled for completion in early March 2026.

At this year’s jubilee event, Cordeel Nederland celebrated colleagues marking 12.5 and 25 years of service. Current and former employees gathered to recognise these memorable career milestones. As always, we highlighted the commitment and contribution of the people being honoured, with one particularly special tribute this year.

On the site of Quooker’s new logistics centre, work has started on the hempcrete façades.

National Construction Day was once again a success this year. On Saturday, 21 June, around 800 visitors discovered how sustainability, technology and innovation converge in Quooker’s new logistics centre in Ridderkerk. This future-proof project has been designed to last more than a century, with a flexible layout to minimise the need for extensive alterations as the organisation continues to grow.

Last Saturday, Cordeel colleagues, partners and children enjoyed a lovely day out filled with fun, adventure and relaxation. The afternoon began with a warm welcome over coffee, tea and sweet treats from bakery Koekje van Eigen Deeg.

The professional football club SBV Excelsior, the Municipality of Rotterdam and ERC—a collaboration between Stebru, Focus on Impact and Cordeel—share an inspiring vision: the construction of a new, future-proof and sustainable multifunctional building, with a brand-new stadium for Excelsior at its heart. On 3 June 2025, we had the opportunity to present this vision during a public participation meeting as part of the Project Appraisal Document (PAD).

Maersk Logistics & Services Netherlands and Cordeel Nederland are proud to announce the completion of a huge cold store facility on Maasvlakte. Officially handed over on 17 January 2025, this landmark project marks a significant milestone in the logistics sector.
